The short version: KickPulse has no accounts. We use Google Analytics to count visits, and our ad landing page, kickpulse.org/go, uses the Google Ads tag to measure our ads. Otherwise we only handle personal data when you contact us, and in the basic technical logs every website needs.
1. Who we are
KickPulse (“KickPulse”, “we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
2. Scope
This policy covers the KickPulse website and any messages you send us. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, which have their own policies.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address, the topic you choose and the content of your message. During the current preview period the contact form on this site does not transmit any data.
The enquiry form on kickpulse.org/go sends your name, phone/WhatsApp number, email address (if given), enquiry topic and message, together with the address of the page you sent it from, to our Google Sheets and email.
Technical information
Like any website, the servers that deliver KickPulse automatically record basic technical information for each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.
Fonts
KickPulse loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser downloads them, Google receives your IP address and browser information. See our Cookie policy for details.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics on every page to understand how the site is used: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive and roughly where they are (country and city, worked out from the IP address). Google Analytics uses cookies; see our Cookie policy. We don’t send Google your name, phone number or email.
Advertising
Our ad landing page, kickpulse.org/go, uses the Google Ads tag. It sets cookies and sends Google information such as your IP address, browser details, the page you visited and whether you came from one of our ads, so we can measure our ads and Google can show them to people who have visited the page. See our Cookie policy for details.
What we don’t collect
We don’t offer accounts, and we don’t ask for sensitive information such as health data or financial details.
4. How we use your information
- To reply to your message and handle your request.
- To investigate and correct data errors you report.
- To operate, maintain and secure the website.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it (Google Analytics).
- To measure how well our ads work (kickpulse.org/go only).
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data. Google may use data from our ad landing page to show our ads to people who have visited it.
5. Legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing — for example under the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation or similar laws elsewhere — we rely on:
- Your request or consent, when you contact us and ask us to respond.
- Our legitimate interests in running a secure, reliable website, understanding how it is used and measuring our advertising.
- Legal obligations, where we must keep or disclose information by law.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run KickPulse, and only as far as they need it:
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which serves the website and keeps technical logs.
- Google, which delivers the fonts used on the site, stores enquiries sent through kickpulse.org/go (Google Sheets and Gmail), provides the Google Ads tag on that page, and provides Google Analytics.
- Our email provider, which receives the messages you send us.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to a successor organisation if KickPulse is sold or reorganised. In that case this policy will continue to apply.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where data protection law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
8. How long we keep it
- Messages you send us: only as long as we need them to deal with your message, unless we need them longer to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.
- Enquiries sent through kickpulse.org/go: until you ask us to delete them.
- Google Analytics: visit data is kept for 14 months and then deleted; the
_gacookies expire after up to 2 years. - Advertising cookies: the
_gcl_aucookie expires after about 90 days; Google keeps advertising data under its own retention policy. - Technical logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention policy.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- receive a copy in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email [email protected] or use the contact form. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to confirm your identity first.
10. Children
KickPulse is not directed at children under 16, or the minimum age required in your country. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, we keep the data we hold to a minimum and we limit who can access it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data — for example by adding new tools — we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
